The 36th ITI World Congress will happen in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, from the 20-25 February 2023. It will be the first time since the beginning of the pandemic that ITI members from all over the world have been able to gather. Under the theme “Reunite, for the Performing Arts and Humanism”, this Congress will be used as an opportunity to galvanize our community’s love of theatre, and redouble the humanistic efforts we are making.

The 36th ITI World Congress intends to build on the foundations of previous Congresses to provide an even more engaging experience to the members of ITI. Thus, a series of new platforms are planned, aiming to foster an open atmosphere for the Centres and Committees to speak, exchange, and find common ground for joint initiatives. ITI Centres, artists, individuals will have opportunities to present their work, and update all the delegates from the world of theatre on what they have been doing since 2017.

As usual, all the necessary statutory work will be dealt with through ITI General Assembly and meetings of ITI Executive Council, Committees, Regional Councils, etc. What is more, the 36th ITI World Congress will contain activities such as a Summit with keynote speeches and roundtable discussions, with educational elements such as workshops for local people, with artistic activities such as top-quality performances from the countries from the Arab region and from the other world regions – for the Congress participants and local people.

ITI sincerely invites you to participate in the Congress, exercise your rights if you are an ITI member and take this long-overdue opportunity to connect, act, and shape the unique ITI community going forward together.
